How to Train Your Dragon sequel set for 2013

Well, I hope you all enjoyed How to Train Your Dragon a lot, because a sequel has just officially been announced for 2013. Hopefully it will retain the quality of the first.

I suppose we shall get a good idea if that will be or not when Kung Fu Panda 2: The Kaboom of Doom is released next year.

Thoughts on the sequel? Remember, the film was based on a book, and there are more in the series, but it was heavily adapted for the big screen.

It kills me that the mentality of leaving a good thing alone goes increasingly bankrupt as the years go on.

Though it doesn't surprise me that DreamWorks would "George Lucas" this and try and squeeze every cent out of it.

Especially since it returned to #1 at the box office this past weekend.

I wish that it would be realized that any of their films could achieve this if just the amount of care was poured in as they did to "Dragon".

It's not the Dragon making the bucks, its the heart at the center of it all.

A franchise is not necessary, but making films people care about, is.
