Review: THE DILEMMA

The Dilemma is a story about two good friends, who find themselves in a huge mess of problems. Ronny (Vince Vaughn) and Nick (Kevin James) have been best friends since college. Now, they work together in the world of auto design, and are about to come through on a very big break through which is making an electric car sound like a gas powered one. Ronny has a lovely girlfriend, Beth (Jennifer Connely), who he is afraid of proposing to, and Nick has been married for a while now to a girl he met back at school, Geneva (Winona Ryder). Sure this is all pretty stressful stuff, but then Ronny sees Geneva kissing a mysterious fellow at the botanical gardens, and that is when the dilemma begins.

Hurwitz to Direct?

More AD movie news.

So, in the last update I said that Ron Howard would be directing the Arrested Development movie.

Well, now it seems that Mitchell Hurwitz himself, the creator of, and genius behind the show will be making his directorial debut.

It seems a lot of changes have been going on, which is good. That tells me the movie is actually being worked on.

Look for the Arrested Development movie 2010.

Review: ANGELS & DEMONS

For anyone that enjoys a fantasy thriller, Ron Howard’s Angels & Demons is 100% pure fun and 90% harmless. The movie is set in a mystical and ritualistic world where two ancient organizations have waged a war for more than one thousand years. On one side we have the Vatican, the Holy See of the Catholic Church, and on the other we have the Illuminati, a group of pseudo-scientists who still think earth, wind, fire and water are the only four elements in the periodic table. The Vatican also has Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) and Vittoria Vetra (Ayelet Zurer) at their disposal whose knowledge about religion, science, and history prove to be the winning factor.

Not So Arrested Development

Anyone who has read my posts on this blog should know how I feel about the late Arrested Development. I have said repeatedly that it was the greatest show ever to air on TV, and I still believe that with every bone in my body.

Ever since the final episode of the series aired in February of 2006, fans have been eagerly expecting the feature film that the aforementioned episode eluded to. Then, for a period of almost three years, nothing really happened, minus the occasional interview in which Jason Bateman would say that they were all interested in doing it. There was even an Independent AD Documentary Project. in the works.

Well, after all this waiting, it seems that the development of this movie is no longer that arrested. I don't want to speak to soon, but it looks like this movie is finally happening. Ron Howard, the producer, and narrator of the series, has signed on to direct. Mitchell Hurwitz, the genius creator has written a draft of the script. Almost every single original cast member has signed on to reprise their roles, even the more minor characters.

It looks like this movie is actually going to happen.
