This has appeared on the internet, tweeted from the account of Michael Cera. Twitter has not verified this account as actually belonging to Cera. As most of the tweets are really odd, I have my suspicions.

I can only hope and pray that this development is no longer arrested.

Hurwitz to Direct?

More AD movie news.

So, in the last update I said that Ron Howard would be directing the Arrested Development movie.

Well, now it seems that Mitchell Hurwitz himself, the creator of, and genius behind the show will be making his directorial debut.

It seems a lot of changes have been going on, which is good. That tells me the movie is actually being worked on.

Look for the Arrested Development movie 2010.

The Independent AD Doc: Final Trailer

So as you probably already know, I am a giant fan of the late Arrested Development, and the good people over at the Independent Arrested Development Documentary have released the final trailer to their project.

I have been emailing with the guys back and forth for almost a year now, and they are just great. Just a couple of fans, just like me, and they want nothing more than to spread the joy that the show was, and raise some education about it. It's also important to note that the entire thing is self-funded, and completely out of their own pockets.

As Good as a Movie

Hey internet,

I don't have anything especially profound to say today, so I thought I would throw another one of my opinions at you.

I was never a TV watcher. It was always movies, movies, movies with me. It was only a couple years ago that I actually began following a few TV shows. Only a few.

I started to think about what most hour-long dramas have in common. That seems to be what's popular in TV. After some contemplation, I thought that these shows are shot like movies.

Take L O S T for example. That show is as cinematic as anything I've ever seen.

Now, as soon as I'm done writing this article, I'm going to go watch the episode of Chuck I missed last night. This is another example of something that makes me feel like I'm watching a movie, rather than a TV show. Obviously, some of my favorite sitcoms like The Office and Arrested Development do not have too much of the movie feel, but I do feel like most of what I'm drawn to is very much like film.

Clearly, I can't speak for the whole world, but in my opinion, shows like L O S T, Firefly, Chuck, and 24 are shot like movies.

So, really, which is better? Movies or TV?

Not So Arrested Development

Anyone who has read my posts on this blog should know how I feel about the late Arrested Development. I have said repeatedly that it was the greatest show ever to air on TV, and I still believe that with every bone in my body.

Ever since the final episode of the series aired in February of 2006, fans have been eagerly expecting the feature film that the aforementioned episode eluded to. Then, for a period of almost three years, nothing really happened, minus the occasional interview in which Jason Bateman would say that they were all interested in doing it. There was even an Independent AD Documentary Project. in the works.

Well, after all this waiting, it seems that the development of this movie is no longer that arrested. I don't want to speak to soon, but it looks like this movie is finally happening. Ron Howard, the producer, and narrator of the series, has signed on to direct. Mitchell Hurwitz, the genius creator has written a draft of the script. Almost every single original cast member has signed on to reprise their roles, even the more minor characters.

It looks like this movie is actually going to happen.

Pushing Daisies movie a possibility, right after Arrested Development movie gets re-uncanceled

Bryan Fuller's Pushing Daisies has been a hit with the critics but ultimately after the first season was cut short from the writer's strike, the viewership has dwindled ever since. Luckily as with other cult shows Firefly and Arrested Development the possibility of a movie is very possible with the cast seeming to be committed as well as a desire to close all the loose ends from the second half of season 2 after its abrupt cancellation.

TV Guide revealed that Fuller is only really interested if he could get all six members of the cast back together. With all the former members going on to future projects, that could become increasingly difficult. Rumor states that with the Arrested Development movie much of the delay is focused around actor Micheal Cera who's recently pulled himself onto the A-list with hit films Juno and Superbad.

With the remaining three episodes of the second season of Pushing Daisies being held back by ABC and with the last episode staying on a cliffhanger there is a strong possibility that we'll see more of this series in the future. Currently Bryan Fuller's Dead Like Me is getting a direct-to-DVD movie five years after its cancellation, so this can very well be the case for Pushing Daisies.

Hey folks. I don't have much to say today, so I thought I'd give an update on the ever elusive Watchmen release date.

The March 6 release is not cancelled - just not determined. It seems that recently, and I'm summing up, Fox claimed they had the right to make this movie "first". They had bought the rights way back in 1986, but they didn't do anything. Now that Warner Bros. has stepped up to the plate to make the film, it seems Fox wants a chunk of the action. Though Fox was also offered a chance to make the film in 2005, they passed it up, saying the script was, and I quote, "one of the most unintelligible pieces of $hit" they had seen in years.

However, Fox is in the process of suing WB for the rights to the film. A judge will determine the release of the film.

I don't want to rant too much, but my bitterness towards Fox is growing more and more everyday. Maybe it's because they took, in my opinion, two of the greatest television shows of all time, Arrested Development and Firefly off the air. Maybe it's because I had a bad experience with some employees. Maybe it's because their news is fake. And now this.

Review: FOUR CHRISTMASES

It says a lot for Vince Vaughn that he still made me laugh during the otherwise mind-numbing Four Christmases.

Yes children, this movie is perfectly stupid. But it is also the kind of stupid you expect - and I don't know whether that makes me happy or sad. It's already a dumb idea. Visiting four families on Christmas is not something that should be the plot of a movie. It's something that should be one comical act of a movie, amounting to something more. Thing is, this doesn't amount to anything more.
