Review: TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON

Transformers: Dark of the Moon might appeal to those who enjoyed Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen. But then again if you are one of them, you might be really annoyed at how much alike they are. In one short sentence: Transformers 3 is a Xerox copy Transformers 2 in 3D and without Megan Fox. One could see this as an improvement on Transformers 2, but then what isn’t? Or, one could see this as the removal of the only good quality Transformer 2 had: its 2D.

Either way this is not good movie, regardless on your appreciation of Bayhem.

Review: WALL STREET: MONEY NEVER SLEEPS

The most surprising quality about Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps is how much of a feel good movie this is; something you could not tell from the poster above or the current world economy. Yet this movie, unlike the first installment of the franchise, belies that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Back to the Future Remake Imminent

I hang my head today as I report to you the worst news in the history of news.

A Back to the Future remake starring Shia LaBeouf is rumored. It will be directed by Steven Spielberg, a producer of the original trilogy.

Honestly, it almost seems like an insult to Robert Zemeckis. The guy is still alive.

I think I'll go kill myself now.

NOTE:
This may have been an April Fools joke. God, I hope so.

Review: TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is the movie with the lowest I.Q. that has even been made. But I think it is safe to assume that if you are going to see a movie based in a toy line, about giant robots smashing each other, you are not expecting to find anything intelligent, logical, coherent or challenging in it. Therefore I will not be as harsh as I would like to be as I review this film.

Upcoming Film: Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen

So here come some more Transformers. If you don't know what a Transformer is... its a truck that transforms into a gigantic sentiant robot (or vice-versa). This is the sequel. Expect larger truck-robots, more Megan Fox and less hands for Shia Labeouf. And of course mind blowing effects, awesome cameos, good jokes, and explosions galore.

It probably will mean nothing to you, but you sure as hell will enjoy it.

For now, here is a trailer.

Review: EAGLE EYE

I loved this movie the way I loved National Treasure. If you can get past the fact that every event is so totally unbelievable, so totally unrealistic, and so totally outrageous, it is nothing but a thrill ride sparkled with some big laughs, and some really good acting. To me, it is acceptable to make a movie that is ridiculous, if the performances and effects make it truly worthwhile - which they do.
