Review: THE KIDS ARE ALL RIGHT

            This movie is so politically correct that the kids drink water instead of wine because they are underage. This is despite the fact that the main characters are lesbians, that half of them are pro-organic foods people, that are trying to raise a family, and that it is set in Northern California. I just don’t buy it. And it is sad because it was a missed opportunity to make a real life comedy about raising kids.

 

The 83rd Annual Oscar Nomination List for 2011 Arrives!

 

 Once again, the Academy Awards are upon us. Here is their list of nominations for this 2011 season. While it is shocking that some films haven't made the list, many of the ones that have deserve it. It's been a pretty good year for cinema, and there were many great movies the Academy had to choose from. Too bad not everything good could get up here, though. As you read the official list - you will see a few of my notes (in blue) of thoughts or things I would have done differently.
