If you saw Cars 2 this weekend you would have been treated to a pick of Pixar's next film, Brave. But in case you didn't, or you were late to the theater, here it is:

I have to say it looks different. Certainly looking forward to it.

New Trailer and Poster for DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 2.

Way, way back in 2001 the first Harry Potter film came out. That same year the first Lord of the Rings film also premiered. It sparked a rather large debate across every middle school over which one was the better franchise. At the time the LOTR defenders had the upper hand by simply stating that the Harry Potter film was meant for little kids. Seven movies later they can no longer hold on to that argument. Hopefully they have also matured, unlike me, and moved on to debate more important things in life.

Honestly, this looks more epic than the final battle in Return of the King. And without the boring Frodo and Sam side plot.

‘The Chronicles of Rick Roll’ Movie Trailer

In this trailer to generate the interest to raise the funds for a feature film, every popular internet meme over the past 7 or so years is featured - played by their original generators.




While they said Social Network was defining of our generation, I have always disagreed because sure - they create one form of social networking - but they never show the effect that it has on our culture; moving us into the internet. Meanwhile, this film shows the effects that memes have had on our culture and just how much the internet has penetrated our lives. Thus, as stupid as it sounds, this seems to be the defining film of our web-based generation.

A Movie About a Tire That Blows Stuff Up

This movie is deep in the tradition of B-movies.

Look! Up in the Sky! It’s a Bird! No, it’s a Plane! No, they’re Nazis… from Space!

            You might have heard about Iron Sky, but I just discovered it. And I have to say it looks like 110% of pulp awesomeness. I am already excited and it will probably not be released until next year, despite the fact that principal photography has warped. Why so long then? Well, Iron Sky is being financed through fan donations. So the filmmakers work at the rate the money pours in, which is very slow.

It doesn't look like your typical Scorsese or DiCaprio film. But I am excited anyway since I loved all the movies they have done together so far.

First Look: The Last Airbender

Photos popped up from the teaser of M. Night Shyamalans The Last Airbender popped up on the internet.

Here we see Noah Ringer as Aang in an Air Nomad Temple striking a badass pose. If you look closely, you can see the arrow on his forehead.

The only other picture released was of Slumdog Millionaire star Dev Patel as the Fire Nations Prince Zuko. The shot released doesn't show the side of his face that would be scarred, but hopefully it is for continuity sake as it is very important in the series.

An interesting note, both of the stars pictured have a background in martial arts, though not the styles that their "bending" forms are based off of. 

The teaser trailer will be played with Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen which opens later this summer and The Last Airbender opens July 2nd 2010.
