George Lucas Fixes "Star Wars"

As reported by Moviefone, here.

In the re-re-re-re-re-release of the "Star Wars" trilogy...

Obi-Wan's dragon call has been changed.

Darth Vader screams "No!" when saving Luke Skywalker.

All I can say is, "Finally!" Because, man, I love the original trilogy but those two audio clips are really saving what I always said were the worst parts of any Star Wars film. For some reason, like always, there are talks of boycotting the Blu-Ray releases--so I guess that means I'm going to have to buy multiple copies of the Blu-Ray super 9-disc set to off-set those efforts.

Come on people! If we buy enough Star Wars crap again, Lucas is sure to keep "releasing" the films and we'll finally all get what we really want: a CGI Admiral Akbar!

The 6 Worst Endings of Steven Spielberg

Steven Spielberg is among only a handful of directors who successfully jackknifed their careers through several film genres, posting a classic in each one. However, genre and intentions aside, Spielberg again and again and again shows himself as a man with no end game. From his worst to his best, far too many films come to a screeching halt, make a cut that’d knock the cleats off Barry Sanders and dive into the warm embrace of absurdity. Fair warning, there will be several spoilers in this post, but the movies are all popular enough that I feel even modest film aficionados will be safe.

Ranting On: Spider-Man (2012)

So the other day we got our first picture of Andrew Garfield in the Spider-Man suit from Marc Webb's upcoming Spider-Man film, set for release on July 3rd, 2012. Yeah, I think it's a cool costume, but I already have two problems with it. Well, to be fair, one problem and one concern. Concern first, we haven't seen the mask yet, which either leads me to believe that 1) promotions thought this frame was just super cool and had to be seen, or 2) The mask isn't anywhere near as cool looking as the rest of the costume and was avoided for negative fan feed back. I hope its not the 2nd one, but since the rest of the costume is strongly based on the 'Ultimate Spider-Man' costume, I hope they don't go with that mask, because frankly I just think the original mask can be taken more seriously.... you know... with out the GIANT eyes and all. Still, I don't think that this costume looks like anything Peter Parker could whip up in a night. That is, unless his school focus is textile manufacturing and he comes from a family that has been nothing but tailors for the past 30 generations.
