Review: RESIDENT EVIL: RETRIBUTION

One has to know what type of movie your going into when you walk into Resident Evil: Retribution, the fifth part of Paul W.S. Anderson’s adaptation of the zombie survival video game. Essentially it is going to be wall to wall action, zero-to-none character development, and Milla Jovovich prancing around in near-S&M gear. I could essentially end the review here, the film won’t be any deeper than that but, as far as bad action movies go, the Resident Evil franchise has always been a guilty pleasure of mine. So I will indulge a bit more. 

Review: BATTLE: LOS ANGELES

I am not really sure what the plot of Battle: Los Angeles was. There where lots of explosions, some very loud noises, and excessive queasy-cam movements. Every now and then Aaron Eckhart would yell at his platoon, Michelle Rodriguez would curse in Spanish and another explosion would happen after that. The rest was a blur.

Review: AVATAR

Coming out of the theater after watching Avatar, I found nothing to complain about. It is not just Cameron’s mastery over technology that makes Avatar great; it is his ability to use technology as a vehicle for great storytelling. Avatar could not have been told without the technology employed and the technology could not have found a better story to makes its debut. Here is why:
