Winners (or Losers) of These Year’s Razzies

Keeping up with tradition, the Razzie awards were announced yesterday on the day before the Oscars. Generally the Razzies tend to be as predictable as the Oscars, and this year was no exception. The overwhelming winners (or losers) of this year were M. Night Shaymalan’s The Last Airbender, which took both Worst Picture Worst Director and the new category Worst use of 3D, and Sex and the City 2 taking Worst Actress, the Four “Gal Pals” although, and Worst Cast, the entire cast. Without much further ado here are these year’s worst of the worst:

           Worst Picture: The Last Airbender

Worst Actor: Ashton Kutcher for Killers. Honestly for as bad as some performances can be this wasn’t that bad. Robert Pattinson dodged a bullet from Twilight haters here.

Worst Actress: The Four “Gal Pals” for Sex & The City 2. Don’t be surprised about multiple people winning in the same category. Back in 1999 all the Spice Girls won it for their performance in Spice World. No surprises here.

Worst Supporting Actor: Jackson Rathborn for The Last Airbender and Twilight Eclipse. Pattinson might have dodged a bullet. But with both those titles on his name there was no way Rathborn was going to dodge this one.

Worst Supporting Actress: Jessica Alba for Little Fockers. Very well deserved. I don’t think I have ever seen a more humiliating performance in front of a camera.

Worst Screen Ensemble: The Entire Cast of “Sex & The City 2”.

Worst Prequel Sequel, Remake or Rip-Off: Sex & The City 2. Amazingly fans were not as harsh on The Last Airbender on this one. Or maybe its becase Sex & City 2 has the honors of being a sequel and a rip-off.

Worst Eye-Gouging Use of 3D: The Last Airbender. People are just hating here. Clash of the Titans should have been the undisputed champion of this category.

Worst Director: M. Night Shyamalan for The Last Airbender. That is a second Razzie for Mr. Shyamalan after his big win with Lady in The Water.

            Worst Screenplay: The Last Airbender.
